More than tripling its size and nearly doubling the number of games, the new Cherokee Casino Tahlequah is now open for action. Dressed to impress, the grand casino boasts 20,000 square feet of gaming excitement, more than 400 games, three poker tables, six table games and the delicious River City Café.

The dazzling new $7.5 million casino took just over one year to complete. Like all Cherokee Casinos, it is adorned with traditional Cherokee symbols, colors and its own unique Cherokee artwork. The casino employs 160 people and is located adjacent to the old casino.

The casino’s interior contains beautifully painted red walls, 20 feet tall pilasters and  walls lined with a snake border also seen at Cherokee Casino Resort in Tulsa. In addition to more electronic games, Cherokee Casino Tahlequah has also increased the number of card tables to three poker tables, four blackjack tables, one Ultimate Texas Hold ‘em table and one Three-Card poker table. The new cards area sits beneath a stunning copper laid ceiling, the main focal point of the casino.
