TAHLEQUAH, Okla. (Oct. 21, 2026) — Cherokee Casino Tahlequah will welcome rising Texas country artist Casey Chesnutt at 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at Ancient Oak Tavern inside the casino.
A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, father and rising country artist, Chesnutt is carving out his own place in country music while drawing inspiration from the genre’s Texas roots. The son of country star Mark Chesnutt, known for his hit “Too Cold at Home,” Casey grew up surrounded by ’90s country music before developing his own sound influenced by the Texas Red Dirt scene.
Artists including Cross Canadian Ragweed, Reckless Kelly, Randy Rogers, Stoney LaRue and Wade Bowen have helped shape Casey’s musical style as he builds a career on his own terms.
His independent single “Even Texas Couldn’t Hold Her” reached No. 9 on the Texas Country Music Charts and stayed in the top 10 for three weeks. The song’s success and growing social media following helped bring him to the attention of Nashville music industry veteran Tony Conway.
Signed with Clearwater Records, Casey released his label debut, “Uninvited Guest,” which climbed into the Top 20 on the Texas Country Music Charts.
Balancing life on the road with fatherhood, Casey regularly drives thousands of miles each week to perform and spend time with his young daughter. His commitment to both family and music reflects the determination behind his effort to establish an identity separate from his famous last name.
The show is free to those 21 and older.
