Things to Do Beyond the Casino Floor with Status+

The pool deck at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa runs 12,000 square feet. The Chicago Steakhouse at Gold Strike Casino &Resort has earned recognition from Wine Spectator. Cherokee Hills Golf Club plays across a Perry Maxwell design about 20 minutes from downtown Tulsa. None of it requires a seat at a table game, and under the Status+ rewards program, the play that does happen on the floor is what pays for the rest.

That is the part most guides to casino resort activities leave out. Plenty of articles will tell you there is a spa and a golf course. Far fewer explain how a rewards tier turns those into comped rounds, free treatments, and discounted dinners.

What the Status+ Rewards Program Changes

Cherokee Nation Entertainment launched Status+ Rewards In 2026, replacing the long-running One Star Rewards program, and it now covers 10 properties across Oklahoma and Mississippi. Members move through five tiers, starting at Access and climbing through Insider, Luxe, and Elite before reaching Reserve, which requires 250,000 rewards points and carries the deepest benefits in the program.

Earning accelerates as you climb, with bonus point multipliers worth up to 50% depending on tier. The companion app tracks tier progress in real time, holds personalized offers, manages reservations, and pushes location-based promotions while you are on property.

“At its core, this rewards experience is giving them more of what they love with greater speed, personalization and convenience,” said Mickey Ward, chief operating officer at Cherokee Nation Entertainment, in Status+ Rewards press release.

Beyond the headline perks, membership carries a set of smaller benefits that show up on ordinary visits. Reserve members receive a $100 annual bonus, birthday rewards play, complimentary cage fees, valet where it is offered, and a dedicated VIP host. Seasonal member events run on top of that, including a holiday shopping spree that lets members put accumulated points toward retail rather than play.

Casino Entertainment Runs Most Nights of the Week

Live music is the most reliable reason to be on property when you are not playing. Hard Rock Live in Tulsa holds more than 2,700 fans for touring headliners, and the smaller rooms fill in everything around it. Track 5. handles country and Red Dirt with a floor built for line dancing. Riffs opens daily at 4 p.m. and runs live classic and '80s rock Thursday through Saturday. Replay puts 51 TVs behind a sports crowd, including two 103-inch screens, and Amp Bar keeps a DJ going for the late stretch. The Greatest Hits Lounge moves across genres for anyone who wants a quieter room, and the High Limit Bar pours for players who want their cocktails away from the main floor.

In Tunica, the Gold Strike Theatre and the smaller Stage2 carry nightly programming that ranges from local acts to national touring names. At the Reserve tier, casino entertainment comes with two VIP tickets to a live show each year, which is the difference between reading the marquee and sitting in the good seats.

Golf on a Perry Maxwell Original

Cherokee Hills Golf Club sits next door to Hard Rock Tulsa in Catoosa, and it is a genuinely good course rather than a resort amenity with a driving range attached. Famed architectPerry Maxwell laid out the original design, the same architect behind Southern Hills and Prairie Dunes, and Tripp Davis handled the modern restoration work. The result plays 18 holes at par 70 over 6,637 yards, winding through rolling terrain, natural rock outcroppings, and mature trees.

Golf is also where tier status pays most visibly. Reserve members receive four rounds every month at Cherokee Hills, and Elite members receive one. For anyone who plays regularly and already visits the property, that benefit alone can outrun the cost of a membership at a comparable course.

Spa Days, Cabanas, and Rooms Worth Staying In

The Spa at Gold Strike keeps licensed massage therapists on staff, and spa treatments there are part of the Reserve and Elite benefit set rather than an add-on charge. Those same tiers get complimentary cabanas at the adult pool in Tulsa, where the deck includes daybeds and a nine-person hot tub.

Rooms follow the same pattern. Gold Strike carries 1,133 guest rooms and 75 suites, and top-tier members draw suite stays, priority check-in, and late checkout instead of standing in the same line as everyone else. It turns a one-night stop into a reason to stay through Sunday.

Dining and Shopping Where the Discount Actually Lands

Reserve members carry a 30% discount on dining and retail across participating properties, which reshapes what a weekend costs. Gold Strike alone runs six restaurants, led by the Chicago Steakhouse and its Wine Spectator-recognized list, with Buffet Americana and Drafts Bar & Grill covering the casual end. In Tulsa, the Rock Shop stocks the apparel and memorabilia that people actually fly home with.

Hard Rock Tulsa also runs free guided memorabilia tours through its signed instruments and artist collection, bookable at the hotel front desk. It costs nothing, and it is one of the better things to do at casino resorts between dinner and a show.

Casino Lifestyle Rewards That Leave the Property

The benefits that travel are where casino lifestyle rewards stop being a marketing phrase. Reserve and Elite members receive annual stays at Baha Mar in the Bahamas, up to four nights. Reserve, Elite, and Luxe members all receive a complimentary cruise of up to 10 days, with Reserve booking into a suite. Las Vegas getaways round out the list, subject to availability.

Those are the casino resort experiences that a points balance is genuinely worth chasing, and they are earned on visits that already happen.

Frequently Asked Questions About Status+

Do I have to gamble to use these benefits?

Points accrue from tracked play, so that is what moves you up the tiers. The venues themselves are open to anyone, though. The memorabilia tour at Hard Rock Tulsa is free and bookable at the front desk, and restaurants, shows, and tee times are available to guests whether or not they play.

Which tier do I need for free golf at Cherokee Hills?

Reserve members receive four rounds every month, and Elite members receive one. In-season public rates at Cherokee Hills run $60 to $70 a round, so the Reserve benefit is worth roughly $240 to $280 a month for anyone playing all four.

Are spa treatments actually included?

Spa treatments at The Spa at Gold Strike are part of the Reserve and Elite benefit sets rather than a discounted add-on. The spa is open Friday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and took back-to-back Southern Gaming Reader’s Choice awards for Best Spa in 2023 and 2024.

One membership works at10 participating properties: Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa, Gold Strike Casino Resort in Tunica, and eight Cherokee Casino locations at West Siloam Springs, Roland, Fort Gibson, Grove, Ramona, Sallisaw, South Coffeyville, and Tahlequah.
