WEST SILOAM SPRINGS, Okla. (Feb. 26, 2026) — Cherokee Casino & Hotel West Siloam Springs and Cherokee Casino & Hotel Roland will host former Cross Canadian Ragweed members as the roots-rock trio Cody Canada & The Departed for two consecutive nights in March.
The band will take the stage at 8 p.m. Thursday, March 26, at SEVEN Bar inside Cherokee Casino & Hotel West Siloam Springs, and then will perform at 8 p.m. Friday, March 27, at Lee Creek Tavern inside Cherokee Casino & Hotel Roland.
Cody Canada & The Departed is a three-piece Americana roots-rock band based in New Braunfels, Texas, formed from the critically acclaimed Red Dirt rock group Cross Canadian Ragweed.
The band features frontman Cody Canada, bassist Jeremy Plato and drummer Eric Hansen. Canada and Plato, longtime bandmates from Cross Canadian Ragweed, reunited to form The Departed, joining forces with Hansen to create a high-energy sound rooted in Texas music traditions.
The trio delivers thoughtfully crafted songs powered by driving guitars, steady bass lines and dynamic percussion. Their live shows blend original material with fan-favorite Cross Canadian Ragweed songs and classic country covers, led by Plato on vocals.
Since forming, The Departed has established itself as a standout in the Texas music scene while building a growing national following. The band’s 2015 album, “HippieLovePunk,” was named a Top 5 Best-Selling Album of the Year by Lone Star Music. The release produced the singles “InBetweener” and “All Nighter,” with “All Nighter” reaching No. 1 on the Texas Regional Radio Report chart.
The band’s discography also includes “This Is Indian Land” (2011) and “Adventus” (2012). In addition, Canada released two double-disc live acoustic albums: “Some Old, Some New, Maybe a Cover or Two” (2013) and “Chip and Ray, Together Again for the First Time” (2015), which was recorded in Port Aransas, Texas, with producer Mike McClure of The Great Divide.
Both shows are free and open to the public ages 21 years and older.
